Bidra med feedbackI’ve been there a bunch of times in the past. Always hoping that something will appear on the menu that is anything like a vegan breakfast option (that isn’t oatmeal and fruit), but no luck.
Our food was very good with an excellent taste but the portion size was very small and the price was very expensive. I will go back again but not for a while. My mother ordered a plate (Don't recall the name). We asked if it was spicy and the Waitress said no. When my mother received the meal it had some kick to it. I guess it wasn't hot to the Waitress. When we requested another meal that wasn't spicy we were given a hard time. My mother said she would not go back but I may as the food had a good healthy taste to me.
Our visit to Uptown Kitchen was worth it despite a considerable long waiting period due to lack of personnel on the day we stopped. The staff definitely felt the burden (as many service workers in these difficult times), but they did their best to accommodate everyone. On the plus side we ended with Jonathan, the owner, as our personal server and he treated us very well with some of the best foods during our stay in South Bend. It was really great, not just because we were hungry. Your menu does not disappoint. I would recommend you to give you your business and enjoy a nice brunch or lunch meal next time you in the area. And remember to tap your server well. ;
Good breakfast Brunchplatz. The pancakes are fluffy with crispy edges best with blueberries. The potatoes are good season and the eggs are as expected. The roasted sourdough was nice with jam, and I really liked the chicken sausage with fennel seeds. I've eaten here and I'm probably gonna eat again. They also have beautiful outdoor seating. The interior looks more like a bar than a brunching place, but it's all good.
Excellent food, legendary customer service, untouched ambience. I can't say enough about this wonderful place. The mimosas were brilliant, the smoothies were even better, and the cappuccino stole the show! The best part was when the owner, Mr. Jonathan Lutz, came to our table and spent an hour getting to know us and comparing all our favorite foods and restaurants. He made us feel like the unimportant people in the world. And our server, Miss Chopper. We can't wait to come back.
