Bidra med feedbackGreat pizza to be here. Lots of space, we sat right for dinner. The live music in the restaurant is a great function, we had a good time watching the show while we ate. Serves a good selection of craft beers from below, and it is a 10 second walk to the comedy club above, from which we both used. Great place!
We came here a few hours before a big concert in the VanAndel Arena. We had six of us and we were told it was about 45 minutes. The whole place was packed and many people waited, but things seemed to move quickly. Waiting was much shorter than expected and we had an excellent waiter. We got our food orders right away and everything came out very quickly. The food was decent although a little too expensive for what you get. The service was excellent and the entire staff was very nice.
Since my last visit, I have been quite underwhelmed by the experience. It was about 45min waiting, but the hostess let us sit in a few minutes so that was great! I tried one of the non-alcoholic drinks (Church Limonade) holy tartness, I could not take more than a few sips. They were also from most appetizer options, so we on chips salsa, a sequence of wings. They also simplified the menu options by a lot, definitely more bar meals instead of dinner options. Our apps were good, but our farewell did a great job to review us, our sodas wait for the 1.30hr, we had to come out for our dinner. At this point the place was packed, the bathrooms were super shut down, which was strange because this place used to well maintained. Missed door handles, cracked floor coverings... There were light bulbs on the main areas of the building fabrics everywhere. I was also deported by the staff who didn't have to wear a kind of uniform or name tag? I had no idea who worked here who was a customer, super weird confusing when someone needs help with something. Alessandria (my server) helped the less pleasant experience, but her energy was great she really worked out her butt, so great job girls! Not sure if I'm back or not.
I'll start with the good one. The ambience was lively and fun, and certainly has made us eat there; people seemed to have a good time. While we had a good time, it certainly wasn't because of the pizza we had. We tried a wood-fired BBQ chicken pizza that tasted as if someone had cooked a frozen pizza, put it in the refrigerator for a few days and then before serving microwave. Okay, easy exaggeration, but the point is that it was BAD. A brick oven Margherita Pizza that we had was a bit better, but not great. So I guess if you have a pizza here, I would recommend a brick oven style, and make sure to stay away from BBQ chicken. But ultimately, if you're looking for good pizza, I don't think this is the place.
They took the 9 cheese pizza away and that broke my heart into 100 pieces. Anyways, I’ve been there a few times and never had any problems. Went and had dinner, got the classic Mac and cheese and the buffalo chicken rolls. The rolls were amazing the Mac and cheese was like microwaved Mac and cheese from the night before. We asked for more cheese sauce and that made it a lot better. Not worth $10. We added smoked pork so it was $15. Our server was amazing though! She was okay with me being needy with everything, So I tipped her over 20% still. :
