Whitecaps at the Bend - Grand Bend

Never eaten here to be honest but iv had my fair share of beers, the beer comes cold so thats a winner for me

Bottom line was that everyone in my group thought the food was good. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the seasoning on the fries. The issue was that it took an extremely long time to get our food (just burgers/chicken sandwiches and fries). I'm pretty sure we were the only people at the restaurant at the time so I'm not sure if both cooks were on an extended break or maybe our server was. The chicken sandwiches were cold when we finally got them but the fries were hot.

The food here is consistently good. No complaints. The staff can't do enough to please you. The only complaint I have, is the patio. It's disgusting. Dirty, old cigarette butts all over, grimy tables and absolutely no view. Just dirty. Feels like you are caged up. So, we just sit inside and enjoy the food.

Pulled pork poutine and Rib special were absolutely delicious. They should really advertise the BBQ in the menu. It's great!There was live music when we went. Very entertaining and not blasting sound in our ears.Cheerful and friendly service. Was a bit slow, but there was a large company party occupying both front and back patios. Will definitely return.

I had not been to Whitecaps for years. The reason was the lack of service and sterile surroundings. The ownership has spent alot of money on the upgrades and it certainly shows. I went in to reconnect with one of the wait staff as she is leaving shortly to go back to school. We had a great visit and I had a taste of one of my favourties, Yellow Tail Chardonnay. This bar is a hidden gem in Grand Bend and certainly deserves more of my attention.
