Its been a year since our last visit and we stopped on the way home from the Casinos. The last time there it was very good, however this must have been an off night. There were only a few customers here when we arrived but it took 30 minutes for our plates to arrive. The catfish had some kind of thick coating that was crunchy. Hush puppies were like eating gummy’s. My wife got a poboy which was good. I prefer plain old corn meal or fish fry on Catfish.

Called in an order at 2:15, they said pickup in 30 minutes. I get there 2:42 and they’re shut down. “We close at 3, stop orders at 20 till” I told them I ordered at 2:15. “Sorry, we didn’t get to it, try Tuesday” A kick strait in the teeth to a loyal repeat customer. I constantly brag this place up and they repay by crappie no all over me. Not cool dudes...not cool.

Been going to Lakeview since about 1983. And until I moved from the coast use to go at least 5 to 6 times a year for family gatherings. The food is good and priced fairly. The service is good. And the place is clean.

They have all ypu can eat (AYCE) chicken, shrimp, cat fish and oysters. One other choice but I can't remember it. You can have either one or two items at different prices. All meals come with hush puppies, biscuits, slaw and one side. I had the oysters and they were terrific. You get alot of food for the price. The service was outstanding. No doggy bags for the AYCE meals. Great food. Can't wait to go back.
