Old Capitol Grill Smokehouse - Golden

We had lunch on Monday, I had the bison burger which was delicious as were the fries that came with it. My husband had the green chili and he said it was the best chili he ever had! Service was amazing!We were hiking all day in the area so decided to have dinner on Tuesday night. I again had the bison burger and so did my husband. They were not nearly as good as the day before, a bit dry/overcooked maybe and a bit salty. Fries and greens on the salad were great, and the service was amazing! Also the iced tea was really good and you can tell it’s fresh brewed. Dietary restrictions: I was very clear I had a dairy allergy and it was noted and my burger did not have cheese on it. They were very accommodating.

We stopped in here for a drink while shopping on downtown Golden. It was a cute restaurant/bar and we enjoyed it. Our waitress was very friendly and while we didn't eat, it looked like there were some yummy things on their menu

Went in for a beer and to meet up with old friends. Multiple families with kids at the bar and a happy atmosphere made the place awesome. Fried pickles were great and a well sized portion.

Stopped by while sight seeing. It was a quiet Tuesday and our server himself was amazing (made sure we got our order in right before happy hour was finished). Food was good but for the price it could’ve been better. Although it was early, other staff seemed to enjoy staring at customers instead of keeping busy. Made us feel uneasy.

We sat outside because we had our dog. Our server was Emily M and she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We really do appreciate the service we recived. 10/10 would recommend asking for Emily M if you stop in at this place. Food was great we got a burger and fried pickles to split. I got a side of coleslaw. All of it was 100% great. It's been a very long time since I've been able to give a 100% perfect review. Great job guys, keep up the good work!!! Vegetarian options: They have a black bean burger to sub for any burger patties!
