Bidra med feedbackJust across the road from Burleigh Beach is an unassuming building in Goodwin Terrace. It has a number of restaurants including Montezumas and Sway that are almost hidden within its recesses. We had dinner at Sway which is a small but comfortable restaurant. It has a trendy bar.The service is fairly average, but the meals are world class. We had Ginger Chicken Stirfry and Black Pepper King Prawns. They were both such a taste sensation, with a beautiful fusion of flavours and a meal well presented. We will be back!
Restaurant situated in an arcade on Goodwin Terrace.Dark, cosy space lit by,little ceiling lights.Service friendly and efficient,up til we left at approximately 7:15 we were the only clients. We shared the triangle puffs, with a sweet plum dipping sauce and the chicken satay, the home made peanut sauce was very good.Main was beef pad khee maow, flat pan fried rice noodles with basil chilli paste, pepper corns and mixed vegetables, also very good.We finished with a home made coconut pudding and ice cream. The restaurant is BYO at $4 per person.
Went for a late meal after a few drinks at the surf club (8pm)...we had to hurry because the kitchen wanted to close which is a bit disappointing on a Friday night. Anyway, the highlight was the soup and despite feeling a bit rushed, we would return to try this place again.
Went for lunch, maybe we were too early but arriving at 12 there was one guy still opening up, the food was very avg and seemed to be re heated. The rice was hard, the massaman was so sweet it couldn't be finished, my vegetables were cold but the noodles where hot ( I had pad Thai) two couples sat and waited for 15 minutes without service so they just up and left. Overall very poor service.
This is one of our favourite local restaurants. It is mid-range, not super cheap, but the meals are truly superb. The chef is outstanding and many of her offerings are a little different to the usual presentation of the dish, for example her Pad Thai was presented inside an omelette, which might sound strange, but was wonderful and the flavours delightful. The Massaman curry is another absolute highlight. The venue is like the inside of a mall, though you can eat inside the shop if you prefer, and it is protected if the weather is not the best. They have a bar with a good variety of drinks and beers available. The service can be a little rough at times, but it is improving.
