Salt Water Grille Pub - Gloucester

Wasn't going to pay the prices of those waterfront restaurants and found this gem. The Clam chowder was to die for. My friend had the seafood casserole? Came baked in a bowl. It was so good. The cod, scallops.... I had a lobster roll not a big one but still reasonably priced and very good. Highly recommend. Its a little tricky getting there. Just off the traffic circle.Parking: Easy parking

Great spot for fresh seafood and there is a bar even though I didn’t have a drink.

The atmosphere and the food was wonderful and lovely! However, when it came time to pay we gave the waitress our two card’s cash; there were three of us. She processed the wrong bill on one card and that in turn messed up another bill. When asked if she could refund the money from the incorrect bill she said it wasn’t her problem and that also her manager wasn’t around to fix it and then to rectify it, to just give the missing money back to our friend. I understand she made a mistake and these things happen sometimes but to make it our problem and our fault essentially left a bad taste in our mouth.

Would not recommend for families with infants to come for a weekend dinner.We made known to the front desk that we were two adults and an infant in a stroller. At 7pm boss told us we had to wait for 20 mins. We ended up waiting 45 mins to get to our table where we could have our stroller next to the table because our infant wouldn’t be safe in a high chair.Thankfully food came quickly enough. By then we were so famished that we gobbled down food.Clam chowder was great, fish chips was alright. Veggie burger was tasty but patty too dairy for my liking.We were way past baby’s bedtime and had to leave within 30mins. People who were served 30 mins ahead of us to their seats, were just served food about when we were getting our food.We hoped that time estimation was better upfront, so we could have chosen to dine somewhere with minimal or no wait time.

Lunch or Dinner The Salt Water Grille has many fine choices. On a recent visit w/ family, all of our dishes and favorites were delicious.
