Mcdonald's - Glen Waverley

Date of visit: June 18, 2021 Today marks McDonald's 50th anniversary in Australia, and in celebration, they're running a special promotion where a Big Mac is just 50 cents instead of the usual $6.20. I can't recall the last time I had a Big Mac, but I thought this was a great deal and a perfect way to join in the celebration of such a milestone. As someone who is new to the McDonald's app, I appreciated the young man at the counter who was incredibly helpful and patient with me. The two beef patties nestled in the sesame seed buns were quite juicy, not dry at all, and there was an ample amount of creamy mayonnaise. Contrary to what some might say, this burger wasn’t greasy and certainly didn't have a plastic taste. I also ordered a cappuccino, which is free for seniors—what a nice bonus! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Although COVID-19 restrictions are still in place, the restaurant wasn’t overcrowded. A few years back, this location underwent significant renovations and expansions, making it a pleasant and modern space. Upon entering, I noticed some touchscreen kiosks near the entrance, as well as more ordering devices located at some tables for customers to place their orders comfortably. When we left, we saw long lines of cars waiting at the drive-thru to order. Thank you, McDonald's, for the delightful treat!

This McDonald's is quite impressive for the chain, showcasing a modern design. You can even place orders directly from your table using a touchscreen display. The service and food quality are generally excellent, making it one of the better McDonald's locations I've visited. I definitely recommend checking this one out.

As for the food, the fries are always fresh and absolutely delicious. I tried the chicken bites for the first time to feed the cat, and they were a solid 10/10! The service was fantastic! I particularly appreciated the cashiers at the drive-thru for their patience and great manners. You all make a real difference! The front of house staff and barista were also very pleasant. The happy meal toy was just okay, but hey, I gained a cat! LOL.
