Maize Mash - Glen Ellyn

Update: 11/11/23 Nothing has changed. Still amazing food. Ok so this was my first experience and all three of us were blown away. The flavors were really good. I mean, it's more like a bar with really good food than anything. Whatever their concept is intended to be, don't change a F'N thing. The poutine, while not really a poutine by definition, takes it to a level of outstanding I can't even describe. We each had different dishes and not one was not outstanding. Wasn't expecting that level of quality and flavor from a whiskey bar kinda place. Don't even gete started on the bourbon selection. I'd have to mortgage my house to really make a day of it... Maybe next week... Lol In all seriousness, place is really good and worth a visit. Flavors were creative and well executed. Our server was crazy awesome too. Never caught her name but honestly, she helped make the whole experience. Will DEFINITELY be back!

Maize Mash is a great option for a great lunch or dinner. The food is delicious, the cocktails strong. The price points are reflective of the quality. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped in after dinner to get drinks and dessert. We tried the craft cocktails: G.O.A.T. and Ain?t Nothing But A Hound Dog, and also had a Brownie dessert (added ice cream to make it into a Sundae! and although the drinks were not typical of what wenormally would order, we enjoyed everything else about Maize Mash! The ambiance, service, and the dessert were incredible! We were offered an opportunity to change out our drinks since they were stronger than what we are used to (beer or winedrinkers , but opted to stick through and continue sipping on them. To me, the G.O.A.T. has a definitive taste of meat off thegrill (from the bacon flavor and the Hound Dog required more of the Banana Liquor for me to continue to sip it. I willdefinitely be back as the food on the menu looks incredible, and I want to try their popular drink-Bubbles Bramble, as well asLady in the Purple Dress. I love bistros that put the dining experience on the level that Maize Mash has?food and drinks arethe experience, and happy customers is the goal. For a big city girl, this bistro in downtown Glen Ellyn has me HOOKED! Can?twait to return!
