Bidra med feedbackWe ordered butter chicken and lamb korma. The ambiance of the restaurant is average; you shouldn't have high expectations, but don't be misled either. It's truly a hidden gem. Everything was delightful! We will definitely return for more.
In fact, the Butter Chicken is one of the best I've had in Auckland. The curry is thick, reminiscent of those containers of hummus you buy at the supermarket. Flavor-wise, it leans towards the sweeter side, but I opted for the medium spice level, which balanced out the sweetness perfectly. I also appreciate that they don’t skimp on the chicken; there were easily 6-7 generous pieces in my serving. However, there's a reason why the price is just $8.50. One major downside is the rice—it was overly watery, and you could really taste the raw starch because it wasn't washed properly. Another disappointing aspect was, after enjoying the meal, I had to use the restroom, and the aftermath was quite unpleasant. But I don’t want to end my review on a low note, so let me highlight the best part: the naan bread was absolutely fantastic. Crispy and freshly made, it paired perfectly with the curry, creating an experience of pure bliss. At just $8.50, it's hard to resist and indulging once a week is a great way to satisfy your cravings!
Delicious North Indian cuisine that is always served hot and flavorful. I typically order through Uber Eats, and my go-to favorites are Paneer Makhani, Garlic Naan, and Pakora. I've sampled everything on the menu, and it's clear that every dish is crafted with love and attention by a chef who genuinely cares about the food. Great job, team! Keep up the fantastic work!
We’ve been ordering takeaway from here for 2 years now, and loved every single food we’ve tried because it’s so damn good! The place has been updated it’s cleaner, and I notice they’re more busier now than before. I love the saag paneer the paneer pieces are chewy just the way I like it, not a fan of soft tasteless paneer like the other Indian takeaways do. And the spices of the dishes are just right. Their rice is also very good like they add extra flavouring like cumin and/or salt. Butter chicken is sweeter flavour with a strong cheesy/creamy taste with nice chicken pieces that taste like tandoori chicken. The breads are great too! I can see generous paneer cheese pieces on the paneer naan. And the papadums have cumin seeds in them! This place is small, and the staff shout at each other a lot lol, but don’t let that put you off! It’s great food! They put a lot of effort in their dishes and it shows!
We got food from here last night and everything was delicious and very well priced. Curries were nice and hot, the lamb biriyani was YUM and all the breads were so good. It's also great that you get a container of rice for each curry you order as most places you have to buy this separately. I highly recommend!
