J. Gilbert's Wood-fired Steaks Seafood Glastonbury

Excellent food and service. Recommend this restaurant very highly. Seated right on time. Server was fantastic and came to the table many times to make sure we didn't need anything. Food was delicious and drinks were very good. 

Staff and our waitress Taylor were very polite and professional from beginning to end. Kept checking in on us to see how everything was going. Atmosphere was great. Food was cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. Will definitely return again.

Our food and service were excellent. The tables for two are too small to be able to comfortably accommodate the bread, wine, water, and large entree plates. It made dining awkward. We were also seated under an A/C vent so it was cold whenever the A/C came on.

The food was very good the lamb chops were a little tough but had a terrific flavor and so did the risotto. Husband's scallops were delicious! The service was a little slow at our table but it was very busy. Very noisy very crowded. Thank you for the table decoration! Wish you did frozen blended drinks.

We've been to J. Gilbert's a number of time and this was the first time we sat in the bar. I would not recommend sitting in the bar for a special occasion. It was louder than in the restaurant. Also the tables were too close to the bar, it felt like there traffic of people from one end of the bar to the offer warrants more space for people to pass. Also did sitting in the bar I would have expected to receive our drinks quickly but we received them after we had our appetizers delivered to our table. This was also the first time we were offered A1 sauce... but the restaurant prides itself on making everything it serves...
