Blown away from start to finish. Under £100 for me and the Mrs and that's 3 courses bottle of wine and a cocktail each. Besides the money the food was at a level I wasn't expecting. I tried a bavette steak for a wee change n it was so tasty. Can't wait to visit again.
Outstanding. We had six small plates. Quality! Oxtail soup . Carpacio in smoke. Duck egg. Chicken liver parfait macaroons. Mackerel pate. Venison Haugh!
Best steak ever? Not far off. Porterhouse rare/blue ... Unbelievable charcoal flavour on the outside and beautifully cooked. Superb. The scallop starter was staggering and the bone marrow starter was delicious too. Great drinks and service too... Not the cheapest, but definitely amazing.
Wow! Booked Porter Rye for my 40th birthday celebration with my husband. The customer service was outstanding, the staff very very attentive and lovely considering it was a Saturday night and busy! They went above and beyond and gave us complimentary prosecco as a birthday treat and a lovely plate of gorgeous little cakes with happy birthday written in chocolate at the end. It is the little things like this that make Porter Rye a truly special place! The restaurant has a really good atmosphere, we didn't want to leave! The food was out of this world, everything was cooked to perfection and clearly the chefs are at the top of their game. Genuinely can't wait to come back...thank you to all the team for making me feel special and for making the last night of my 30's one to remember! See you soon x
