Bidra med feedbackWe booked a table for 4 to celebrate Mother’s Day at this restaurant. Upon arrival, the waiter checked the reservation and showed us a table sandwiched between the entrance and the cashier table asking us to sit there. As we had reserved our table and most tables were free, and because I used to come here since over 30 years since the parents of the current owner used to manage it, I asked if the owner can seat us in a better place. He replied quite aggressively that all customers are the same and there is no exception. Since we were there for a good time and clearly the table was not going to allow for it, we thanked him and left. He followed us outside and started a shouting match which we found absolutely inappropriate. When my wife told him that we came despite many negative reviews on the internet, he answer was that his turnover consistently increases 10% per year. Well.. I’m not surprised because their prices too and judging from the recent reviews, not the experience! We went instead to another place not too far without reservation and enjoyed the evening with both good food and good service. This is a pity because this place used to be great and we always looked forward to go there. Not anymore.
We were a group of 6 last night celebrating my daughter and her boyfriend 's last night with us before returning to Singapore. We were so looking forward having frequented this restaurant for years and always being happy with the food and the service but unfortunately we were deeply disappointed this time. Our waiter was without doubt the most unfriendly, impolite and impatient person I have ever come across doing this job. Examples: we wanted to order the lamb he told us but chicken is the specialty and more or less forced us into taking it even though we could clearly see lamb was being served and cooked and everyone knows this place is famous for either chicken or lamb (only things on the menu) and therefore these are the specialties ; he rushed us from start to finish, e.g. asking us if we wanted to order dessert (we are well aware this needs to be done beforehand so it can cook) we started to discuss this between us when he rudely walked off saying OK one large creme brulee to share ; I had called ahead to inform that one person in our group was a vegetarian and was assured they had an assortment of veggies: my husband was served half a plate of green beans only to go with his rosti; my boys wanted to order french fries he forced them to take rosti. So all in all he made what should have been a lovely evening and ending to my daughter 's stay a totally unpleasant experience. In fact it was so bad and shocking that we were mostly speechless during the dinner and only really hit us when we arrived home.
Good chicken ,exeggerated prices, angry waiters a bit off the beaten track but worth it trying i was almost beaten when we gave 5 percent tip
I had heard a lot about this famous restaurant where many celebrities have been. So I invited my wife for a romantic dinner there. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn 't live up to its reputation. First of all, the chairs are painfully uncomfortable and the food is one big disappointment. Every table is served a soggy salad with some old dry bread from yesterday. We chose the grilled chicken that the restaurant is so famous for. It was over grilled and dry, served with a sauce which was brown water. Why this place is famous for its chicken is a mystery to me. I paid CHF 162 for this rather disappointing experience. One the positive side the house wine was excellent and the staff were friendly.
A good business dinner , whit delicious roasted chicken and severals side dishes. A wonderful swiss wine also. It deserve a visit if there. Environment really folk.
