Daniel Shisha Restaurant - Gladstone

We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors of Turkey that were present in every dish. Daniel, the owner, was a bit mischievous but highly entertaining. It felt like we were dining in his home rather than a typical restaurant.

Dined here on a Saturday night, and really enjoyed all of the food we ordered for our main meals. We knew beforehand that you had to order inside, so this was not a problem. We found the waitstaff very attentive and helpful. The chicken skewers, stuffed zucchini and babaghanoush were all amazing - they tasted very authentic and we loved them. The baklava for dessert however, I did not like at all, and it was very over priced at $4 for a tiny pastry. It did not have any of the lovely flavour that I have had in other baklava, and was dry and tasteless. I would dine here again for a lunch or dinner meal but will be skipping dessert.

The restaurant does not look much on the outside but it is what was inside that counts.Delicious authentic Turkish food served with warmth and hospitality. Many dishes on the menu were unknown to me but the waitress patiently explained them. Everything I ordered was fantastic and extremely well priced.It is a not to be missed food adventure.

If you want to experience authentic Turkish food, then this venue is to be visited. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. There is also great live music in the evening. One of the better restaurants in Gladstone.
