Bidra med feedbackWith friends and family happy to celebrate birthday on Friday night, and as expected it was busy and we had to wait about an hour to get a place! they served brot and butter? ordered appetizers that wait for time without delays or anything I absolutely recommend the mushroom neptune absolutely amazing! then ordered the main dish, which served for ever used and even all, but me? and I had to wait 15 minutes to get my order! and I even ordered my steak well done and they served him well. ! but it was already 9:30 a.m. and I really wanted to go, so it didn't bother and went away! that was the worst of it. Apart from that, everything was in order. but expensive for the service we have received!
Loved the ambiance. Food was good. For starters we had the Neptune mushrooms, I wouldn't have known there was crab in them if I didn't read it. Husband and son ordered Filet Mignon both medium rare, they came out cooked differently. One looked rare (under cooked), the other medium (over cooked). I had the sirloin steak and lobster. My steak was good the lobster a little overcooked. Our server wasn't very attentive at all.
I used to really enjoy The Keg in Gilbert. The past 3 times I have been unimpressed. The service is slow, the staff is not on the same page, the food seems very processed. Our meat seemed like it had soaked in tenderizer for a year. We got the house dessert cake which was said to have been prepared in house daily and it was freezer burned. I do hope they go back to their original business plan. And possibly update their torn and tattered lounge chairs. :
How can so many people afford to dine out these days? Yet every restaurant here is packed seven days. The cost for our party of four last night with a bottle of wine, taxes and tip $205. Be that as it may, The Keg scores big. It's one of the few restaurants that accepts reservations through an effortless mobile app that is designed to make the process easy and stays in touch with reminders and asks you to reconfirm a day before. We were seated immediately for our 7:15 PM reservation. Even though the system states that reservations are only applicable to indoor seating, we were given an option to sit outside as well. Service was very good. Our server did a fine job of explaining the menu and such. Our water was refreshed as needed through the stay. The food was attractive and the portion sizes were good. Our friends each ordered the prime rib and told us on the drive home that they were not happy with the cut or the taste. Maybe because the meat was cut thin, less than an inch, and traditional prime rib is well over that. The meat temperatures were exactly as ordered. My New York Strip was ordered medium and my wife ordered her fillet medium rare. They were perfect. Her twice baked potato was large and tasty as was my loaded baked potato. Be prepared for a LOUD environment, either inside or out. The parking lot and its byways are just feet from the patio dining and there was no shortage of obnoxiously loud motorcycles, trucks and muscle cars flowing by non stop. Inside, not much better due to the big box layout with poor acoustics. You'll be shouting at one another just to be heard during conversation. That's just a personal observation and nothing that warrants a reduction in my 5 star rating. The Keg, by today's norms, is one of the best and judging by the large numbers of people who dine here, my opinion is not alone. Try it.
Came in shortly after Christmas for a birthday celebration. It was busy; I definitely recommend making a reservation here. Parking can be tricky on weekends. Great wine list and classic steakhouse menu. I had the prime rib, two others got the salmon. Everything was great from start to finish, including the service. I think our server was named Mike he's a true pro.
