Belga Bistro Bar - Gatineau

The service at this restaurant was disappointing. Our server, Matthew, was impolite and unattentive. He ignored our table, never offering water or checking if we needed anything else. We had to ask another server for the check as Matthew was nowhere to be found. Additionally, he was disrespectful to two of the women in our group. The only thing worth mentioning about our experience was that the French fries were tasty.

The beer is amazing!!!! Definitely try the cherry beer!!!! And a flight a beer! Mathieu is the most entertaining server!

It was my first time at this restaurant but will not be my last. Opened for about 2 years in a small town and I had heard good reviews and glad my employees chose this place. All the different plates were well presented and delicious, wide selection of cocktails and wine. The service was really good and the lady was very polite and helpful and also spoke to Luc the owner and he as well was a real nice person. For a special night this is a very good choice!

Service is very slow Food is just ok 2/5 Cocktails very basic in preparation . Seemed improvised Very limited choice of wine by the glass and by the bottle Based on my experience it is not worth the investment

I went to this recommended restaurant for lunch with friends from Belgium. What an error! First, we couldn't choose the table we wanted because they told us it was reserved for supper guests!!! Then, there was only one choice for appetizer which was a soup on a hot summer day... I passed, but my friends had it and said it was good. However they asked for bread, but the waitress said the restaurant didn't serve any bread: what??? Then, one person had the beef tartar and was very happy with it, except with the french fries which were not crispy enough. The two other persons had the Fettuccini Alfredo with mergez and it was very bland and too thick, like it was reheated. Then we tried to order half a litre of wine, but the waitress said they didn't serve that, only one glass at a time (she didn't know how many ounces it was! or by the bottle. Disappointment one after the other. It was not at all what the menu on their website advertized. There were only 8 persons in the place, so I think that people know not to go there for lunch. We was very, very disappointed because I went there because my friends were from Belgium and the chef is supposed to be from Belgium.
