Albertos Mexican Food - Gardena

I ate a asada burrito here once and it was ok, went back for some other items another day and sat in my car at the drive thru and no one was there to take my order. I have a 30 min break and I spent most of it trying to get someone's attention so I could order but no one came through. So I won't be going back

I moved here from Texas over three years ago and was excited to discover a Mexican restaurant nearby. As someone who only eats seafood, my options are somewhat limited. I decided to try the shrimp taco plate (#24) along with a large horchata. I have to say, I was never disappointed with the food or service. I even took friends there. However, I've been increasingly frustrated by the lack of shrimp in my tacos. In my earlier visits, this was an occasional issue, but now it happens every time I go. I have no other dishes I enjoy, as the fish is quite bland. While I loved my #24, I feel I can’t go back anymore. What’s going on? I need to find a new place to eat.

During my recent visit to this restaurant, it was late, and my children were hungry after a long day. I didn't expect the food to be as delicious as it turned out to be. The tortillas here are unique and taste incredibly fresh compared to many other places. We ordered the taco plate and a torta, and both were absolutely fantastic. Now, it's become a tradition for us to stop by whenever we're in the area.

If you dine here, you understand the appeal. There's no need for velvet ropes or fancy tablecloths—just delicious food and fresh ingredients. The service and atmosphere might not be great, but it's the quality of the food and the convenience that make this place special to us.

The Carnitas ordered afteros. Carnitas were not boiled in juicy. Many cheeses and chips were crisp and tasty not hard and dry.
