Barcode - Garden Grove

A solid small gem of an aesthetic and artistic bar with an arcade embedded in Downtown Garden Grove! Great drinks and prices as well as super friendly and cool staff. The owner (which is also the Bouncer) is also a great guy and tries to create a very welcoming and fun atmosphere for everyone. Very recommended!

Not my place, but disappointing imo.... It was just kinda weird being there because the environment wasn't very fun or exciting, almost dead

Barcode has been around for a few years and I've come here numerous times and have always had a great experience! From the outside patio with the fireplace during the winter to the numerous video game/arcade machines inside and the food and cocktails served at the bar, you can easily find a game to play and have a fun time!The bartenders here are pretty friendly and it's always nice being able to chat with them. The cocktails here are not too pricey and they all have nicknames tied with video games which is pretty cool. When I went there recently, I was ordering their flux capacitors quite often which is a gin tonic with elderflower and blueberry.They stream movies at the front of the bar along with games like Super Smash Bros that you can play with your friends. They have all your typical arcade machines along the wall and pinball machines towards the back. They will also sometimes do local gaming tournaments here as well if you are interested.I've heard good things about the food here from my friends who've tried it before. They have a good assortment of bar food but their kitchen does close at 9:30pm as a heads up!I love coming here for all the retro games and the drinks and I enjoy the vibe here with all the people who pass on by! This is a great spot to check out and I high recommend coming here!

All the drinks are SO GOOOOOD! But also really sugary bc both me and my friend had headaches after drinking 3 cocktails each. I played a dbz against a bartender and it was pretty hilarious. They're friendly and even gave my friend a shot on the house after we already ordered a bunch of drinks. In order to play games, you have to buy a drink which is fair. This place is so fun and a great place to bring friends or a date (although it can get loud). parking is really easy to find in the back and I never really run into issues finding it. The inside is decorated so nicely with all the colored lights giving a nice retro ambiance. They have all the og and classic games. All I can say is, if you love games and asian inspired drinks, this is the place to go. Highly recommend Barcode!

I 've been coming to this place a few times and every time it 's always fun. Plenty of parking in the McDonald 's side behind Main St. You will see double black steel doors that will lead to a nice patio of the relaxing fireplace. Within another door, you will see a nice ambience lighting filled with arcade buttons vigorously and few shoutings of two people playing a friendly game of street fighters style video games. The bartenders are friendly and will make a good drink for you. I go for their beers, especially the Space Dust IPA which is my go to, I have not yet tried much of the mixed drinks but will try sometimes! They also have yummy pizza/tacos until 9ish, and after hours there are also delicious beef jerkies from Uncle Beefy . The setting is what I come for and will highly recommend people here!
