Wasserlochschenke - Gams bei Hieflau

Eating is terrible and very expensive and the waiters are rude and they have stolen us 20 euro!

It was the best baked potato, we have tried it so far in Austria. the place is a bit overpriced, but not too much of my opinion and the portions were large and I did not see any drinks in the menu, so you might have to talk. to get what you need.

After our rafting trip on salza we stopped too late to midday. eating was delicious and it was hard to eat it all (big portions) after the late lunch we went for 2 hours drive to waterfalls and we came back to the restaurant at 20:10. Even after their opening times they gave us food and drink and were completely ok with it. we appreciate this “unnusuelle” behavior very and it was really very good experience for us. we will come back next year.

We have never experienced such unrest and ignorance in Austria, one of the best tourist and customer service places in Europe! we love to go on holiday in Austria, the word cozy embodies everything to be said about the Austrian hospitality. unfortunately not this one. it was a hot day in the juli and after a great and exhausting walk in the spectacular wash hole claw we were looking forward to some deserved refreshments at the water hole ****, a restaurant right next to the entrance to the water hole claw. we sat on the terrace and after about 30 minutes we ignored eating even talking to the staff/owner? and said they will participate in the table, we went. (My wife was up and my 9-year-old son cried. this is an experience that I/we will never forget. even more because it was just a few customers and they were not busy at all except chatting with each other. we left the impression that they didn't need our money. good for them! but with this attitude and arrogance you cannot survive in the long term. Do not miss the water hole jam, but think twice when they go for this place. up to you we can only speak for ourselves. chris

To cut it short: They didn't accept credit card (my fault, I should have checked ahead) I didn't have enough money, the bill was 64, I had 59... We had 20$, which the waiter accepted grumbling, together with the difference in Euro...(20$ 17 We discussed why they didn't accept credit card on such a touristic place Then, the waiter got upset and while pushing me physically asked me to leave the restaurant, not in a nice way And took a photo of me. Not too nice experience. The food was, average at best.
