Bidra med feedbackWe went there last Thursday about 5:30. The restaurant was super busy, but we were seated in the very back. It wasn 't the best place to be, but the service was very good and the food was excellent. We ordered the daily special, and loved it. Just be careful when you order spicy, that 's exactly what you will get. Mine was crabs and corn potatoes. Super good and super messy. The biggest draw back in sitting in the back (at one time it must have been a garage) is that you don 't enjoy the ambience and bar.
I went fishing at Galveston Pier, and someone recommended this restaurant for lunch. They spoke highly of it, so I decided to give it a try. We ordered raw oysters and fried calamari as appetizers, but both were just mediocre—neither particularly good nor bad, just average. For our main courses, we had the Huli Fish and Shrimp, which turned out to be quite tasty, especially with the white sauce on top. The seafood seemed very fresh and was seasoned well. The atmosphere was casual, and the service was pretty good too. I would definitely like to come back and try their seafood boils!
As for the service, it was a bit slow, but you have to remember it’s "island time." The ambiance is fantastic; it's loud and vibrant, making you feel like you’re in a Hawaiian hut. Interestingly, they were playing Shark Tank while I was there—props to the Huli Huli Hut team for that creative choice! Galveston doesn’t have as many restaurant options as Houston, but there are still some great places to eat. I’d say Huli Huli Hut is definitely one of them!
My wife and I visited this restaurant for the second time, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered from our first visit. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was excellent.
Went here twice on our vacation. So good! Great service, lots of friendly locals, and delicious food!
