City Limits Steakhouse - Galesburg

Wonderful food, great surroundings. I ordered a pizza, father ordered a steak, mother ordered a salad, and all were perfect. The owner came out to answer questions and ask how we did. Would recommend!

This was our second visit to City Limits and the service was very good just as it was the first time. Had an order of cheese curds that was a nice large order served with ranch and marinara per our request, they were hot and good. Tried the spinach bisque it had a different cheese base than most I've had but was also very good. We then had a side salad that was large and better than most every one I've had. It included bacon which I've never had on any other side salad that I can remember. I had the prime rib Philly steak sandwich. It had a large portion of tender, juicy prime rib and peppers and onions. It also had a different cheese sauce on it a little unusual but good. My girlfriend had the a catfish fillet that was a little small and she prefers whole catfish. All in all another good meal and we'll be returning again.

My filet minion was delicious, as well as the garlic shrimp! I ordered the blue cheese wedge salad and they forgot to drain the lettuce because there was about an inch of water in the bottom of the bowl. The homemade steak fries were too salty. The dining area is a bit disorganized and needs to be cleaned up. We will try it again. I know the owner said he was having a hard time finding good help. Our waitress was very good, trying to make sure everyone was happy. They need to clean the front up a bit too...aot of cigarette butts and beer bottles scattered around.

Place is a little hole in the wall, but the food was good, the portions were great and so was the service. I'll definitely go back for more.

I went to the restaurant on Wednesday evening and had a delicious steak and shrimp dish. The taco bar on Sundays at 4pm was amazing, with homemade tamales, chili, various types of tacos (chicken, steak), guacamole, salad bar, and homemade tortilla chips. There was also an all-you-can-eat buffet. The young lady cooking in the back did a fantastic job, especially Charity who deserves five golden stars for her amazing work.
