Public General - Gainesville

This is by far our favorite place while in gainesville. even my 91-year-old mother enjoyed her old style burger. we enjoyed both the fresh of the suppe and the salat. They also have a great beer selection that was brilliant. the service was excellent and top notch. we hope to be back soon! keep the great service and fresh products.

Great food and drinks on a Saturday afternoon. Friendly, attentive server. Poke fresh and delicious, burger perfectly cooked.

Great place for drinks and charcuterie. They have a good variety of meats and cheeses that all taste delicious. The actual entrees/small plates were a little too salty. In addition, the steak frites, while tasty, had too many fries in proportion to steak. Service was great and they really knew their menu. Decoration and ambiance were also perfect. Edit: Had to give five stars because they probably have the best burgers in Gainesville. The patty was cooked perfectly medium and juicy, bun was perfectly toasted and didn't get soggy. The fried chicken BLT was a little too salty, but it's hard to beat the prices here.

I have always had the absolute best experience here, I even had my wedding reception at P&G many other special occasions) but the past few times have been such a let down. The staff used to be so nice accommodating..but the last few times I felt ignored and almost a high school “clique” feeling where I wasn’t “cool” enough before others. I wasn’t even acknowledged for 15 min took another 20 min to make a simple drink. Blatant attitude aside, the food and drinks are amazing my past experiences have been excellent. I truly love this place and sincerely hoping these last couple times were only a fluke. After all, everyone is entitled to a bad day

It's a nice place for adults to socialize over drinks. They have a limited food menu, and it was ok. The fries were definitely overcooked for my liking, they were crispy, not crunchy. It seems like that's just their style. Not a fan.
