Bidra med feedbackI haven't been to many hibachi places but out of the ones I have dined at Osaka is by far the best. The cheif here doesn't just show off his skills he tells jokes and makes you laugh I will definitely be back a second time.
This is an expensive place to eat. It 's one of those places where it 's cleaned and wiped with a rag, but you look around and things still look greasy. Not sure I 'd trust eating off the counters here if you know what I mean. Expect to pay top dollar for the food, but the food isn 't very good. It 's average hibachi food, which tends to be slightly lower quality anyways, but I found this to worse than normal. Their shrimp was good, but their ribeye wasn 't good at all. They cutit for you and then cook it for you, which more or less ruins a nice cut of meet, but the meat in general just seemed to be low quality cuts. They also cut it for me, but they didn 't cut it all, and so there was strings of grissle holdinglots of pieces together, and since I didn 't have a knife, I couldn 't do anything about it. Just drown everything in their mayonnaise based 'yum-yum ' sauce (i.e. fried rice and vegetables), and power through. It 's really difficult formayonnaise based sauces to be bad. If you like ginger, they also offer a sweet ginger based sauce as well. The hibachi show is mediocre. 25% of it was tricks, and the rest of it was just him slapping his metal spatulas on the metal grill.Maybe I 'm being cynical, but it got me about as excited as I am writing this. The person cooking in front of us seemed like he said the same jokes over and over and he was bored of it. His lack of energy transferred to us also, and then hehad trouble getting the table interested in playing food catch with him. Maybe today was just an off day for him? Man oh man... the wait. We had one person from our party who wasn 't there, and was coming late, and they refused to seat theother 6 people that were there because 1 person wasn 't there. It was maddening. My entire party was upset by it and even after passive-aggressively discussing it with the staff, they still refused to seat us. Besides that the staff waspleasant.
Beware! 9/10 they will give you the wrong order. When I asked for the correct order the manager was SO rude. AWFUL customer service. Food is WAY overpriced for quality and the small quantity they give you. Do not recommend to anyone.
Do not order the takeover. bad service even makes the taste of eating not so great. I was there for a call job. I have placed my order after the view of the menu online. No, where did I see a certain menu for taking out, so I thought it was all one in the same. When I arrived to pick up my order, there was no suppe. When I asked, I was told that it was an extra $1.50 to command. I pointed out in the menu that it means it is included. I was told that it was a restaurant menu and not a take-out menu. I asked about a restaurant menu and the person reached and took a paper menu and safe enough it said the same. then I was told that this is an old menu, and they don't have new menus. Then...read more
Terrible experience! eating was at best mediocre. they save their money and go to get rid of them. actual prices are about 15% more than those listed on their website. incredible rude management and server. I generally have no high standards of American Japanese restaurants, but this place is far below these standards. Please be careful if they eat with osaka or in the kitchen!
