Bidra med feedbackI was initially hesitant to try the fish and chips at this restaurant because I have celiac disease, but I was delighted to find out that they have a separate fryer for all gluten-free items. They offer gluten-free fish and chips, gravy, curry sauce, and even cake! The batter on the fish was delicious. I also tried the curry sauce, which I hadn't had in 5 years, and it was all fantastic. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant next time I am in Lytham St Anne's.
We recently dined at this restaurant over the bank holiday weekend. The fish we ordered was disappointing - it lacked flavor, was overly greasy, and the batter was thin and soggy, turning into mush. The chips were okay but could have been cooked for longer. As a supporter of local businesses, I hope to see improvements in the future.
It was a great Friday. The food was fantastic and the prices were very competitive. The service was excellent and very polite. We always make sure to visit this restaurant when we go to St. Anne. If we lived closer, we would go every week. Kudos to the owner. The food and customer experience are top-notch. I can't imagine finding a better restaurant within a 50-mile radius from where we live.
How the dinge can change. that has been a consistent fish and chip restaurant for years. it's been a past since we last eaten there and unfortunately we won't be back. everything was incredibly fat, and the fish just banged soggy. we had. the family contract plus extras and none of us could eat it. we have left a holiday in the region and are often asked for recommendations for fish and chips, will certainly not recommend here again. so you can't leave the kitchen. really disappointing.
Subject line says it all really nice light batter on the flaky fish, with all the crispy lacey bits that are the funnest to eat. Good hearty chips and tasty peas. Friendly owner. My only negative is that I asked for a smallish portion...but still got a great whacking piece of fish! ha haha! Thanks guys!
