Udon Taira - Fukuoka

Researched on tabelog and found this udon place close to my stay. We got there at 11:00am there's already a line up at the restaurant which opens at 11:30. First time trying fresh made udon in house. Wow amazing fresh udon and the broth is tasty. The Burdock 牛蒡 ごぼう tempura is perfectly done. Crunchy and easy to chew! Also try the rice ball おにぎり here it's also very good. Come here early to line up guys!

I honestly didn't know Udon was a thing in Fukuoka, but man, I'm glad I found this place. An absolute gem of a bowl of Udon, with chewing noodles and delicious broth. The price is also cheap. Nice staff and a great service. A must try.

A friend recommendation, I guess they moved into new shop. On the first day we missed Fukuoka, then we were looking and driving to try before we went to the airport. The Udon texture is great, Bouncy but delicious with the soup, the soup is the soul! The day we went there they don't have an English menu, but who cares, learn our Japanese to order a big Udon!

Very recommended. This place has flat noodles, but they taste great. I had the beef tempura udon, but I only recommend the herbal tempura. The soup tastes “pure” without the beef odour.

I had the beef udon and it was amazing! I arrived at 11.25 and waited around 10-15 minutes, while the place is small the service is fast. The meal was very good value and staff were friendly.
