If for nothing other than a grown-up, stylish place to grab a drink with some friends, you should give La Cène a try...but you really should think about staying for dinner. After a first look at the menu, I was convinced I wouldn't be dining at La Cène that evening, but the waitress and the kitchen were so unbelievably accommodating when I asked if they could offer something without meat I couldn't help but be impressed. Though there were no meat-free options on the menu, the kitchen came up with four different suggestions in a matter of minutes. La Cène has the feel of a big city lounge bar as you enter, followed by a uniquely arranged dining area. The wait staff was friendly, helpful and present without being overbearing.

We eat in La Cene every couple of weeks and so far we have not found another restaurant to fit it in food or service. The set menus are well balanced, imaginative and well presented and the service is perfect. You always reserve our favorite table and remember our preferences. There is an excellent selection of wines through the glass, we usually ask for a recommendation to go with each course and always like it.

Great wine map! Did not have the opportunity to visit their cave to buy bottles during my last business trip and they arranged me to sell me a few from the restaurant directly! Great service! Thanks again!

Excellence restaurant that deserves its Michelin star. Extensive wine list, large Bordeaux, quite expensive. Nice service and good value for money. A trip to Fribourg.
