Bidra med feedbackMy friends and I had lunch at the Palmdon location and we had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I tried the Roadrunner vegan sandwich and it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend visiting this place if you have the chance. There are so many options to choose from and the service is top-notch. I am thrilled to now be living in California so I can try every sandwich on Ike's menu. It's a great place!
IKE'S Sandwiches is a fantastic spot to grab a quick lunch in Fresno. The colorful decor immediately caught our attention as we perused the diverse menu. The sandwich names and ingredients are what set this place apart, offering a unique combination of high-quality ingredients that appeal to sophisticated palates. The friendly employees and laid-back atmosphere made us feel at ease as we placed our order. Despite the lunch rush, the wait for our food was worth it. The Dutch crunch bread was exceptional, as were the toppings. Even though I typically avoid sauces on my sandwiches, I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. There was something nostalgically charming about Ike's that drew me in, perhaps the smell of freshly baked bread. Make sure to pair your sandwich with Zapp's potato chips for a satisfying meal. Give Ike's a try next time you're in Fresno, you won't be disappointed.
I initially wanted to give this place 4 stars because, yes, it's true that the wait is quite long even with not many guests (one in process and one ahead of us). However, I did notice that about 4 car shop guys had ordered, presumably online or over the phone. The wait was definitely worth it. You should not skip the fries - the sandwiches and fries are a perfect match. For those not into fries, there is an option to go for chips. I will be returning to try the chips. This is a perfect place for vegetarians and vegans with a not too overwhelming menu, which is amazing. The customer service was just as great as the subs, and let me tell you, these are the best subs in town (sorry Jimmy John's)! I spent around $28 on 2 subs and fries, including a $2 tip.
Not only does this place have amazing sandwiches but it's served by some really good people I witnessed acts of human kindness here that goes a long way to show the character of people I will always come back here for all my sandwich needs
Great food-Great service Short story- My wife and I (before we were married) ate at the Ike’s in the Castro back in 2010 and we thought it was amazing. We actually met Ike who came out to chat with our friend because she told them to write “Superwoman” on her sandwich sack. A few years later, my wife was working at a coffee shop up in Santa Rosa and an Ike’s moved it next door. We actually bought their sandwiches the day I proposed to her and we later asked if they could cater our wedding (they couldn’t). We moved overseas for two years and when we came back we drove up to Alameda/Daly City to have Ike’s. Since day one, we have ordered the same sandwiches: Barry B (turkey sandwich) and the Jerry’s Big Meat (or All Meat, I cant ever remember). At the Fresno location, both were excellent and tasted just as good as they have in all of the other locations for the past nine years. Moreover, the staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. We are super excited to have Ike’s in Fresno and we highly recommend people to try it!
