Bidra med feedbackThis is probably the best breakfast I have ever had. I do not live in Fredericksburg, but happened to stop there last year. The cinnamon roll/sticky bun was the best I have ever tasted. I stopped there again the other day on my way home to New Jersey and the first time was not a fluke. It truly is the best breakfast I have ever had.
The good was good quality. My turkey sandwich was fresh roasted turkey and the chips were great! I did regret not getting the burger because it looked so good. My dad had it and said it was delicious. My mom really liked the pretzel bun on her ham sandwich. My only complaint would be that there are not many menu choices and I think more than half were vegetarian and/or salads. Overall we liked the rustic atmosphere. The food was good. A little pricey, but you get whatyou pay for.
This farm to table has potential, but it didn't come together for me. Ingredients were fresh and menu/wine list very interesting/different. However, the dishes didn't come together the salad had too much salt and the grits I expected to standout and be more flavorful. Pimento bread was great. Also, service was mediocre. Everything took longer than what I am used to at good restaurants. After I finished my first glass of wine, no one asked me do you want more? The ladywas walking around, but missed an opportunity to sell me more and I would have said yes! It is also pricier for what we got. Hope they can improve a few things and I will be back.
This was the best choice for breakfast/brunch. It's an old historic bank converted and tastefully decorated. I had an apple juice mimosa that was unexpectedly yummy. It was served in a large juice glass which I appreciated. I had the sausage biscuits and gravy and it was luscious, flavorful and the biscuits were so flaky. The gravy thick and tasted of sausage and sage. The homefries we're crispy and touched with peppers. I ordered a side of bacon that was cooked toperfection.....crispy, thick and still bendable without breaking. Others had the chicken and waffles and said it was divine and savory. We also ordered the scone on special with the apricot jam and butter. Yes, please. Flaky yet densescone with a vanilla cookie flavor. The server was amazing and attentive. The only constructive feedback I have is the hostess was a little rude.
The quality of the food and service continues to decline with each visit. I don't believe we'll be visiting again after the last visit. The bacon was so burned it looked like bark from a tree. When I asked for new bacon the waitresses asked if I didn't like it well done. Ordered scrammed eggs, got fried eggs chopped up. Really!
