Mac's Bbq Catering- Fredericksburg, Tx

4 Star BBQ; 5 Star service. We had chopped brisket sandwiches; sliced brisket sandwich and baked potato with pulled pork. My favorite thing was the green chili mac n cheese Food: 4/5

I ordered a 2 meat plate...the one rib (yea, just 1 which sucked) I got was good, but the pulled pork was horrid. It tasted of some chemical. I did politely mention that but was brushed off saying it's probably the pecan they smoke with...man, that ain't no pecan wood taste!The Mac and cheese, corn, and Cole slaw were pretty dang good as well as my wife's brisket sammich.

Wonderful place to stop abs have lunch, especially since my dentist is right around the corner! ? DELICIOUS bbq brisket, and I love that there is a smaller plate for seniors. Nice, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Y’all have to stop here, if you’re visiting Fredericksburg, Texas. It’s right on Main St, so what could be more convenient!??

If there were minus stars to give.... I would.My family and I visited this location and I've never been more disappointed and frankly disgusted in a long time.We ordered a chopped brisket sandwich with fries, and a pulled pork sandwich with green chili mac and cheese.The brisket was floating in grease when they scooped it onto the bun and had absolutely zero flavor. The pulled pork was literally rancid, and tasted like it had been smoked on wet cedar wood, besides being burnt. The condiment table was messy and dirty and half filled with dried onions and pickles. The unsweetened tea was old and bitter.As a member of Lone Star BBQ Society, I am sad that other patrons are served this type of thing, and ashamed that the owners claim this is Texas style BBQ.Absolutely sickened.

Stopped in for a late lunch, my husband and I got pulled pork sandwiches, fries and a side of beans.The pork was gross, tasted too Smokey like they use a ton of liquid smoke, they also pulled it out of a warming tray as we ordered it, so not very fresh. The beans were right from a can, no flavor at all. The fries were pretty good. The tables were sticky, but we were lucky to find a freshly wiped one.The staff was friendly enough. They offer free beer for reviews based on a sign out front so I am sure that’s where all the recent 5 star reviews come from.I won’t go back.
