Great authentic restaurant. The journey worth Koln. Very friendly, even by chef Alain. The atmosphere was authentic and warm. Felt at home. The food was super, nothing culinary, but amazing classic German-Belgian food. Also, prices are very reasonable, especially given the... much qualitative and delicious food. I'd come back 100%. Definitely worth the trip of Koln 25min by taxi or tram. Thanks again Alain and family / screw. Over again, au revoir!

This is a small specialist Belgian / German restaurant in a suburban town called Frechen. Selected from previous T-A reviews and not disappointed. The crab croquette salad starter was truly historic. The only minor complaint is that the frites were not as Belgian asa the rest of the meal. Would certainly go back.

After spending time in Cologne, I wanted to take a road trip and came upon this hidden in gem in Frechen just outside of Cologne. Lovely family run restaurant with the most friendliest of hosts. The food is fresh and delicious. Frequented by locals so you get that real German feel of an outstanding restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you want to get out of the city.
