Excellent value for money... we've never been disappointed, it's very... Especially mentioned for the cassoulet which is excellent.. and in addition the managers are pleasant.

But where is this small village brewery leased by more and more customers located at the perpendicular of the current N 20 D 820 at the entrance of FRAYSSINET LE GOURDONNAIS, in the LOT Don't confuse with FRAYSSINET LE GELAT!! Coming from Cahors, it is the first street to the right and so the last left leaving the village, to Cahors. An original name and can be confused for some “The SHALOUNA”! An acronym that actually corresponds to the first initials of the first names of the children of the family! However, it sunshines out and even inside, thanks to the spontaneous welcome in friendly mode and the malicious and laughing eyes of Alvir, the young smiling waitress who offers us a simple day menu, but that will reveal at least tasteful. Fresh products, professionally worked by Guy the Chef, admirably helped by Fabienne, his graceful wife who, like his colleague in the room, provides a discreet, simple and particularly effective service! We also have the privilege of having lunch on the terrace, once our masks are finally removed... because, otherwise, even a straw would not have been practical to savour the piece of meat, its fresh fries as we say in the North all enriched with a copyy salad, it also of first freshness, perfectly seasoned, not to mention "the fishing plate" we are a Friday... that is part of the two proposals. A simple setting, in the heart of a small village, just a range of ducks from Labastide Murat and Gourdon! An ideal stop certainly, taking advantage that the more generous places “in the old”, to park easily and especially freely, without a loose scholarship.

Passing through this beautiful area on September 1st we were advised to eat in shalouna. Gold advice! Very good cuisine, a welcome as we would like to have more often and an excellent quality/price ratio. We'll come back to the corner and we'll go back to it.
