Since 1964, when Mr. Clyde's father first opened the doors to African American customers, they have prided themselves on welcoming everyone, regardless of background. Doesn't look like much but it has great breakfasts. Grits cooked in a big pot. Very inexpensive. This place is no frills hometown homegrown!

What you see, is what you get. Ain't no way around it here. I ordered a delicious fried chicken fillet sandwich for $4. They could have charged $6. But judging from the interior decor they do not reinvest in a capital Improvement plan. The bathroom, country. Get off 64 and go experience some North Carolina old school culture.
