Bidra med feedbackMy previous experience of an Asian restaurant in france was one of either soissons or compiegne, can't remember what but I remember the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, so it was with huge expectations that I booked for our family of...3 with wheelchair for this place. I was ready to be woven with fantastic aromen and hopefully something that my little young would eat, which is very fussy when it comes to eating. we arrived a bit early but were shown on our table, with our menus and a drink order. I prefer to be our French menus in French, but if they are 're French 't big, they can fight, as I think English, the owner's 3rd speech is to Vietnamese and French. we ordered nems (spring rolls) for my wife for a starter and I had the assiette de vapeur (steamed wantons) and both were delicious. we have shown how to roll the nems in the salat leaves before immersed in the sauce that seemed only water with slightly finely cut chilis, as there was little taste. we also ordered some prawn crackers for my son, whom he enjoyed, despite some something over boiled and brown instead of white. After a long time our vietmanese bbq arrived, which was a portable gas cooker with a metal sheet on it, on which we had to cook our marinated beef slices. this came with fine noodles and some buzz sprouts on the bbq swimming in the oil. the marinade was also very oily. the bark was of excellent quality, but the marinade did not add much more than a bit of lemongras aroma into the process. they had no taste at all. it was another experience for us that we enjoyed, but it seemed expensive for what it was, lacked in taste, as there needed a good sose to give it a bit of a stroke. it was also very oily, clean oil, but oily no less. there was nothing on the menu for my little boy and I asked if he could have just cooked a simple chicken. I had originally asked to ruin them, but they could or wouldn't. his thin striped boiled oily whan came on and he didn't like them. he didn't like the rice either. we ate them and they were in order, but nothing special. at least they tried for us. we asked for the bill that came to almost 90 euro, including a coke, a badoit and half a bottle. we paid and left and had a coffee ice cream at another place. that was a real shame, as the man and woman team was sweet, it's a secretly smaller place, but we could have got so much more for our money elsewhere. we were glad that we went and the others were more appreciative than the place, so maybe it was just my fantastic memories elsewhere that my expectations for what was possible were set too high. Perhaps the Vietnamese cuisine is much different than the Chinese, as I had expected. there was a children's option on the menu, but was 't inspiring and certainly not what my little lady wanted. I had hoped that ribs or satay sticks could be there, as he tried, but there was nothing like that. will I have been coming back? yes, I think I would be for the experience and the beautiful people, but would I come back? probably not if the menu changed somewhat. I'm sorry, I was hoping I could say so positive about this place.
