Bidra med feedbackWhat a terrible experience on New Year's Day. Husband was really looking forward to coming here and I surprised him. At first the restaurant was over empty, which should have been a sign and reservations, why did we disturb? The food was cold, it was a buffet, and the best things were rice and brisket. The staff huddled in the doors when they were found. The next day the restaurant closed. As it turned out, this was in the works from the beginning of November. So they kept the place open on New Year's Day for an overpriced brunch with cold food, skeleton staff and a cheerful ambience. I want my money back.
Looks like Marcus would close the MGM National Harbor after the first year. New restaurant will come.
My overall rating for Marcus would be 4stars; however, the initial service was a little slow!
Went to ladies room while my friend reviewed the menu. Bathroom was dirty. No soap but a $1 version of cheap liquid soap that someone added water to. The restaurant floor was slippery. The menu which was the size of a bookmark and reduced to nothing substantial and ridiculously the restaurant no longer served the whole chicken that was it's most popular item. We gave up our table and went to eat at Ginger instead. Why have this restaurant if it is not kept at the same quality standards as other Marcus restaurants? The answer must be the reason this one is closing. Sad! Many in the DC area felt love for Marcus. Seems the restaurant owner didn't feel the same about us.
The food was great and the service provided by our waiter, Charles, was exceptional! We will be back!
