Bidra med feedbackI was in the area and was looking for something to eat for dinner after a long day. Found this restaurant near my hotel. Very limited menu right now. For what I was charged I felt the portions were much too small. Have received bigger portions from higher class restaurants for less money. Food was prepared fine, nothing wrong but nothing special. Service was nice enough but once my food was served they never came back until I finished the meal and was ready for the check. I am in this area a few times a year and will find something else next time.
I should have realized from the moment I entered the restaurant that it was a questionable place. For starters, there were very few other customers, which is often a red flag. Additionally, the menu was short and limited, offering very few options. When it came time to pay, the waitress swiped my card multiple times and insisted that it was being declined. After she asked to see my driver's license, I went to my car to check with my bank and ensure the transaction had gone through. It was at that point I decided to call the police. When they arrived, the officer mentioned that similar issues had occurred there in the past and that this was a recurring problem at the restaurant. To make matters worse, the waitress started lying to the officer, claiming we had thrown food at her—something that never happened.
What a nice surprise! We had the bolognese, and spaghetti and meatballs and chicken Parmesan. The garlic knots were fresh and warm and had shavings of fresh mozzarella on top. The restaurant was not busy this evening but it is summer and midweek. We will definitely stop back when we’re in town. Be aware that the menu prices online have not been updated but the prices are comparable to other Italian restaurants in the area.
To help the restaurant enhance its service, I would recommend the following improvements: always clear used plates and bowls from tables promptly; avoid having loud conversations within earshot of customers; refrain from adding a surcharge for credit card payments; clearly communicate any additional fees; avoid misleading customers by stating that credit card companies charge a 10% fee for processing; invest some resources in upgrading the decor; and check in with diners more often to ensure they are happy with their meals and service. For now, we recommend considering other dining options.
The food was delicious. The place itself was comfortable. Unfortunately, they were under staff, but the lone server was amazing. But they had a limited menu.I would still recommend it. The food and service even under staff was great.Food: 5/5
