Poorhouse - Fort Lauderdale

Great place for local music and about the only place in downtown you can actually talk about a drink and have a little elbow room.

Great place for live music with reasonable drink prices. Parking cost me $20 for 4 hours in the lot across the street

First time at Poorhouse since going to Las Olas for over a decade. I like the chill vibes of this place and the bartenders are probably some of the nicest I’ve encountered. Definitely the perfect spot for the metal crowd. They have live music on certain nights I believe.

The bar tenders that work here are some of the nicest guys I have ever seen and I have been going to bars for years. I'm surprised the attendance isn't always that high considering how respectful the workers treat their customers.

Website business hours misleading. Their open past 3am on Sundays probably other days as well. Couldn't get my wife on phone after waking up from her cat jumping on me at 3am. Wanting to go back to sleep but worrying about her getting too shwasshty to drive or already getting a DUI got my groggy self out of bed and headed down. Live close by so not terrible. Come to find out this place was popping of at 3:30am and everything was fine. Apparently they've got phone chargers at the bar. So don't worry about your phone dying. I've lived in Fort Lauderdale long enough to have been coming here for years but probably only a couple dozen times. Nice old Fort Lauderdale bar.
