Five Marys Burgerhouse - Fort Jones

90% of the time I can’t get anyone to my table after I get the menu. Dead slow today and I was flat out ignored. Look at the cameras . I sat there forever waiting to just be able to ask for a box let alone pay a bill. Ended up getting up leaving my food and just going to the bar to ask if I can pay so I can leave.

I tried the regular burger and the lamb burger. The lamb burger was amazing! I couldn't have asked for anything better. The jalapeño cheese fries, fantastic. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating.

Wow, showed up at 7pm, it's now 8:45 and we haven't even gotten appetizers. This is brutal. The restaurant is nearly empty, it's a Tuesday night, this is brutal. We have seen our waitress once to take the order. I'll update again once (if) we get our food but this is just absolutely unacceptable. Edit: 7pm arrival, burgers came at 9:15. They were amazing but waiting TWO HOURS!!! For 4 burgers is just unacceptable. Plus one of the burgers was completely wrong and needed to be remade. We had to go into the kitchen to find a waitress to tell about the burger and all the wait staff were just hiding in the kitchen from the pissed off dinning room. They ended up taking 3 drinks and a burger off the bill, but it was just an overall bad experience. The drinks were really weak, I'm usually not a big drinker and didn't feel 3 cocktails on a completely empty stomach. Why didn't we just go somewhere else? Because there is nothing else within a 30min drive and by the time we were ready to walk out every restaurant in the area was closed. Bleh.

This is by far our favorite local restaurant in northern Siskiyou. Anyone who visits us gets brought here for lunch or dinner. Great food. Great service. Love the decor. Love some of the unique items on the menu. Event the roasted veggies taste sinfully delicious here … let alone the meats. Parking: Parking is on the street in front of the building. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is flat. There is a ramp onto the sidewalk just to the right of the building.
