Eagles Nest Restaraunt - Forrest

Went here looking for a small, locally owned family diner. Good diner vibe. Waitress couldn't have been more apathetic. I really hate to say that. Her attention was on everything but our order and our service. The fried mushroom portion was generous but left in the fryer too long. My open face pork tenderloin was also left in the fryer too long. It had the consistency and appearance of a large thick potato chip. The meat was crunchy. Not supposed to be like that. Waitress brought my wife's meal out at least 5 minutes before mine. Disappointed. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

I took a visiting family member there for breakfast. We seated ourselves and a waitress came and brought menus. We needed a few minutes to look them over. There were 3 women at the front counter talking and one was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation between us and this continued after we ordered our food. I come close to just walking out but finally she went to the back. I will never go back as long as the loud person is working there. Food was Good got Breakfast. American fries were spot on. Biscuit and Gravy Skillet was tasty. Will be back soon. It's a older place but food was spot on don't let the looks of building detour you. Food okish, but 3 cheeseburgers w.fries and 2 club sandwiches and a steak sandwich 94.00 ask for itemized receipt didn't have one asked why so much bc the menu says lunch menu with this price. Not that price says soup included with lunches. No it's not. Insane traveling thru thought we would support local. Yeah not again family of 6 I spend less literally everywhere else.
