Bidra med feedbackI came in to get take out couple of days ago and ordered beef taquitos, chicken quesadilla, and chicken pastor tacos, and a Jamaica aqua Fresca. The drink was good. We didn't start our food until we got home and opened our food. I opened the pico de Gallo that came on the side of my tacos and immediately commented on how surprisingly warm it was. Then, as I proceed to open up my chicken pastor tacos from the foil, I smelled the strongest of wine scents. I knew it was the pineapples that had probably gone bad and did not eat it. I passed it off since my boyfriend felt it wasn't a bad taste and he could stomach it. (Although he later commented that his stomach was griping in the night afterwards) 2 dats later, my card was updated with a gratuity charge that I did not authorize. I remember distinctively putting 0 tip on the iPad, and proceeded to put cash in the tip jar. So when I saw this charge, I came to the restaurant to question everything. Ultimately the management barely refunded my over paid tip, and every employee we spoke with over the 2 days said that there is no wine or alcohol used to prepare any of the menu items. The manager didn't seem to care at all that I had this problem with the pineapples and are clearly running things out of official health codes. I would not recommend eating anything from this location and hope they get shut down for not storing foods at the correct temperatures and having people who barely understand English taking orders.
I Have celiac and read some decent reviews about the staff having knowledge . I walk in and asked do you have any gluten free items I read your tacos are but I just wanted to make sure Anna response no we don't do any of that . Extremely disappointed, no allergy knowledge and they don't even speak English.
Came to the restaurant order my food and went to the restroom to wash my hands. The restaurant had no water, but was still operating. I asked why they were still had the restroom open if there was no water. At the same time, the kitchen they told me that they had no water. I wonder how the staff wash their hands in the kitchen. I asked and no one gave me an answer, so unsanitary.
Love the tostones they have full of chicken black beans and cheese. Always get the same thing. Tacos are a bit small. But the tostones and bowls are a nice portion
First time here as a last minute drop in for a late night dinner. They have their own parking, free of charge. The place was empty upon arrival but had 2-3 dine in customers drop in later and some take out activity. The place is very casual. Order at the counter and sit wherever. Cashier was friendly and patiently answered all my questions, while giving me some guidance of his own. Appreciated that. Upkeep of the place looked a bit run down, maybe not the most spotless place. There was a homeless guy sitting outside at one of the tables in the corner. Not bothering anyone. Food was much better than I expected. Fresh and flavorful, and not loaded with salt which I could greatly appreciate (this fact might be unwelcome to others, yet you can always add more sauce if you need). Bathrooms were missing some basics. Food came out super fast, little surprising. All and all, I though the food was good and cashier friendly. It would be welcome if they cleaned the place a bit deeper and made sure things were more maintained (a/c dripping, which caused me to move). Three star, rounded up because the food was fresh for what might be compared to other fast food spots with similar indoor trimmings. I was appreciative of solid fresh food, late night. If ambiance is important for you in this restaurant tier, probably not your spot.
