House Of Jollof - Florissant

Had a jollof wrap a while back and it was amazing. I came in today and the wrap did not hit like the last time. It just wasn’t it. Not saying it’s not good food just saying my wrap did not taste like what I use to get.

I ordered the jollof rice and chicken. The red sauce gave the meal the kick it needed. The food was fresh and delicious the chicken and rice was something different. I like the fact that they remove the skins from the chicken. Will be back again. Prices are a little steep as everything is sold separately chicken $5, rice $9 together about 15 after tax..

I ordered the Xtra Spicy Jollof rice with chicken and veggies and believe me, it was not it! I am a native Nigerian and It tasted nothing like what I had eaten back home. I give y'all credit for the packaging and protein size, but the rest of the meal was a mess. The rice was tasteless and sticky, and it's only here that Jollof comes with a side sauce???!!! Then of course, the size didn't match the price!In all honesty, I just wanted a good feel of home intentionally ignoring how outrageously expensive it would be and I was really disappointed. For future purposes, please work on this. I really appreciate African food vendors in the US generally, and I wish to come back to better food!Thanks!

Had a great lunch! The food was absolutely delicious!! That sauce tho... THAT. SAUCE! SPECTACULAR!! Good thing they have it bottled for sale!

We drove almost three hours to try House of jollof after seeing it come across my TikTok. I know that sounds extreme but I love trying new foods and a day date to St.Louis with my husband is something I’m always up for. They did not disappoint. The place is very nice inside (the mural on the wall is beautiful) and very clean, the staff is very friendly, and the food… the food was fresh and amazing. This place did not disappoint. My husband got the Jollof rice with beef. He is a very picky eater and he was really impressed. I got the fried plantains and the egusi soup with chicken and fufu. (Perfection) If you’re looking for great food and something different stop by. The food is worth the trip. Thank you for a great experience!
