Rick's Barbecue - Florence

I love the food here, but it?s never consistent. Drive thru will 8/10 times get my order wrong, after waiting in line for 10+ minutes. Like come on, you repeated my order back to me and still get it wrong? Horrible service. Do better!!!

We always choose this Rick's! They consistently serve fresh food. I'm trying to convince my wife to get a salad topped with that amazing ham tonight! Any protein here is a winner! The chicken is sensational, and the pork is their signature dish—enough said, right? But we can't talk about Rick's without mentioning the Idaho Red Potatoes! They're truly something special. My wife loves the ham sandwich; she isn't a fan of mayo, so she orders hers with just pickles. I'm also a fan of the slaw dog, and I personally prefer mine with the mustard slaw. I feel like I'm promoting them at this point, but I have to mention that the chicken sandwich with mustard slaw is a real winner, especially with the addition of white sauce. And I can't forget to rave about their orange cream shake, which is fantastic! So many great options, but everything is delicious! Thank you to this Rick's! You all are winners in my book! I hope you continue the fantastic work you do!

I really wanted to rate this place 5 stars, but the side dishes on the menu just don't measure up to the quality of the meat options. The meats are excellent, but sides like baked beans and potato salad feel more like an afterthought, lacking any real flavor. It’s clear they have a solid foundation, but it seems like they’re not fully committed to making it spectacular.

The food at this restaurant is simply outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly. I highly recommend trying the fruit tea.

As always, we love to go there for the delicious barbecue ribs and a fantastic ham sandwich.
