Miss Katies Crab Shack - Fitzroy

For $38, you'll get a small crab that doesn't have much meat on it to enjoy. The food is served randomly by the chef and not all at once. However, the crab sliders are tasty and a good value. It would have been better to order four of them to get more crab. The nachos were disappointing and were soggy.

I got stomach pain that night and now I have a staph infection. I can't tell if I got it there but my tummy doesn't feel right since that night.

The prawns where great, The crab was disgusting to the point you could not eat it. We ordered 2 each so that was a waste of $100 of food. It was so over cooked the shell was like leather and the crab meat was like mash potato. The worst I have ever had. Such a shame as they had a good reputation but everyone I speak to that rates the crab as just average or poor. Staff fantastic!

The service was excellent. The food was delicious, but on the expensive side depending on your order. The restaurant was very cold with no heating, and the seating was uncomfortable. It's unfortunate that the restaurant is closing down.

Great food and service. A little overpriced drinks. No tap beers were available.
