This spot provides first-rate service as well as tasty meals. One of the best restaurant around here. The meals arrived fast and the prices were fair. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.
We made reservations here for New Year 's Eve dinner with a group of 8. I was looking forward to eating here despite the poor reviews... I should have listened and looked for something else because this was the most disappointing meal I had in all of 2019! The food itself wasn 't too bad... but the service was absolutely terrible! Our server was Thomas and he really didn 't seem to care about providing quality service! Perhaps this was due to the fact that the gratuity was automatically added onto the bill for our large party?? Our reservation was at 730 and we didn 't get out of there until 10pm! (There were about 7-8 other parties in the small dining room with multiple servers) The food came out first starting with the kid 's meals a good 15-20 minutes before the first of the adult 's entrees began coming out. If you want to all eat together DO NOT COME HERE! Eventually the rest of the meals began trickling out here and there... he would bring one table a dish and then one dish to our table. I have no idea who was expediting the tickets but they were horrible at it! It 's completely ridiculous that they sent out some of our party 's food a full hour before others got served! My poor best friend had to eventually ask for her salad around 915 because he completely forgot all about it and just left her sitting there with nothing while everyone else had finally received their meals! I understand that it was New Years, so I expected to wait... I 'm not unrealistic... However, when someone asks for a hot chocolate and you snap I can 't do that right now because I have to get the food out before it gets cold! It 's totally disrespectful! BTW the food was cold anyways, except the proteins because your kitchen can 't get it together to save their lives! Then again when we ask if you can split the check and you reply No I 'm too busy you 'll have to do it yourself! It makes me wonder if you understand what exactly your role as a server entails!?? It was completely unacceptable to treat guests in this manner! The manager did give us a partial credit on our bill, which I guess made things slightly better... I would have ultimately preferred a nice meal and good service though! Just seems like if we 're going to be dropping 400$ on a meal and nearly a thousand dollars on the rooms, you would think they would strive to provide an exemplary experience from the beginning of the stay till the end! Bottom line save your money and frustration and go somewhere that 's actually worthy of your hard earned dollars! I sincerely hope the management at Tenaya addresses the issues presented by the numerous patrons that left feeling as unsatisfied as we did!
Amazing service! I got the filet mignon and it was in a reduction sauce of wine, but I asked if I could have the dish with another sauce because I had a sulfite allergy. But the server Camille really went above and beyond. She brought me two alternate sauces. She wanted to accommodate my allergy to the maximum and for me to have the best experience possible. I only really get sauces Incase the steak is a bit dry but this wasn't an issue here as it was very good. But I really appreciate the gesture and length Camille went to as steak is my favorite food but no server has ever gone the extra mile with not just one sauce but two!
Food and service are really great, especially if you look at the remote location only at the Yosemite National Park border.
