Caffe La Loggia - Firenze

Booked this restaurant for our last night in Florence as it was suggested by a lovely local on the train here for the view. Messaged the restaurant on instagram to request a table with a lovely view as we wanted to make the most of our last night. They replied straight away with an email address to send the request to, to have it fulfilled. Sent two emails which both received no response. Got to the restaurant and was given one of the worst tables with a very restricted view. Service extremely slow I’m writing this review as it’s been over 30 minuets and no one has even taken a drink order. We’ve tried to get the waiters attention (very politely) twice and been ignored. Would avoid here and choose another restaurant up here as the view is amazing. Even if we can’t see it from this table. The food eventually came and was pretty bad. I also asked for salt which the waiter said they would get… I’m still waiting for it and we left 3 hours ago.

Steaks were sub-par at very premium prices. Aged T-bone wasn 't available, añd the waiter offered the ribeye, saying that it Was the T-bone with the filet cut off . Absolutely I 'm orrect. We took a chance anyway. The steak for two, at 140 euros, was tough and chewy, despite being rare. (They did discount it to 120 euros. Any average restaurant would serve a better steak. A side tomato salad was nothing more than a sliced tomato with a leaf of basil. No dressing or anything to make it a salad . The view of the city from the hilltop setting is beautiful, but a nearly 400 euro tab for dinner for four that didn 't make the grade, makes a beautiful view sour.

When we first saw pictures of this restaurant, we saw photos online and were enamoured with the view and the tables and the look of it. Do not be deceived. The pictures are from events such as weddings. There is no balcony with lovely tables with white tablecloths and a view. We were expecting a fine dining experience, and there were basic tables that were set underneath a tent outside. We asked why we weren't inside on the balcony and they said those tables are only for events. We left, much to the dismay of the waiter.. Very disappointing. Their pictures do not show what you actually get.

The scene of the conclusion of the legendary trilogy of the dark knight directed by christopher nolan, is a local that dominates firenzae from above, thus giving a unique emotion. talking to a very nice waiter I was told that the building initially had to be a museum and if you go inside, you will understand why. I went to the place for a stop during a day visit to florences, the prices in the norm 5 euros a coke sitting, on the food I noticed the prices about 20 euros per plate, but the position justifies the position, I will evaluate in the future the quality of the dishes always here on google; I can't wait to come back. was a magical stage, in an atmosphere of art and cinema, pure poetry.

Practically only restaurant on the mighelangelo square! dishes and raw materials are the top. the service is of first category and, despite everything that has been listed before, the prices are more than honest! super recommended for everything. .view firenze included of course.
