Bidra med feedbackThe ambiance and crowd was good but the food we ordered was NOT worth it!!! Me and my friends ordered the crab dip and the gator bites for appeitzors, that was the ONLY good thing we ordered. I ordered Shrimp Cajun Pasta, the pasta had NO Cajun seasoning, and the pasta was COVERED in Olive Oil and grease. One of my friends got beer braised short ribs and the sauce was awful and meat was very tender. My other friend got the soup of the day which was a Clam Chowder soup and there was barely any oysters or crab only potatoes. Besides the food, our service was top notch, our server kept on checking on us and refilling our water and making sure we were okay.
The food was such a letdown. Bland potatoes in the entrée, so many fried onions, fried jalapeños and vegetables that you had to work through layers of food before you even saw the braised short rib and garlic potatoes. The restaurant is most definitely a bar. We heard the food and atmosphere were great....I didn't care for it at all.
I hate to say this, but it was ok. The food was ok. Not greatly. My soup was cold. As soon as my soup came out, so did my fried shrimp and oysters . I received the wrong side they fixed it o problem. The Famous Beer battered onion rings are straight out of a bag. Agi the foods not bad just not worth it with all the other options. Oh GPS lies when giving you directions to it. Park on the main st and walk down to the railroad tracks its 12 First Street.
I got the short rib panini which tasted good but was soggy and very messy. My wife got the crab cakes which were dry and was lacking in flavor with some bites or just tasting bad in other bites. The shrimp and corn chowder was pretty bland but decent once you added a lot of salt and pepper to it. The kids chicken tenders, fries, and Mac cheese were also not very good unfortunately. But the service and drinks were decent so we may try again.
Great bar/restaurant with reliably great food. Great location. Locally owned. One of our favorites!
