Bidra med feedbackI really enjoy St Aidan's wines, particularly their pink moscato. They have great wines, white and red plus liqueurs. The cellar door restaurant overlooks rolling green hills and is a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal and wine. It is a very quaint place, the architecture features arches from religious heritage and there is a small church nearby. Easy access parking. Lovely lush green surroundings.
St Aidan's has evolved over the years and now presents as a serious contender in offering a top class venue for occasional meals or larger events such as weddings. It is set in beautiful gardens with scenic views. The menu looks great for a meal. However, we just stopped for a coffee and cake and were disappointed that the coffee was tepid and the healthy option slice was tasteless. Will definitely go back as it is such a pretty part of the area ....and try again.
We went for lunch today. The cellar restaurant is small and cosy, the staff are very friendly and attentive. St Aiden"s wines are fantastic and the food great. I had a beef hot pot and my wife had their special of Pork neck and cuscus. Both dishes were very good even though my wife said her carrots where a bit raw. We have enjoyed this restaurant in the spring with their plowman's platter out in their open area.
Only 6 other customers, nice and quiet. Enjoyed overlooking the lawns, tree'd creek line and hill.Kale & brie tart with herbed pototoe wedges where very tasty.GF choc cake with real cream finished off lunch.Mild chardonnay complements the meal.Great to have a chat with staff.
