Great food at a great price! I love the chicken hearts and the German fries. Very friendly environment.

Mostly bar food, although the pork local lunch special was very good.

Chicken hearts. A must try! I couldn't believe I liked her when I finally tried her when I was in the middle of the 20s. Great fried chicken too.

Was back in Southern Indiana for a wedding and needed a dinner. Stopped by Fleig's and got some chicken teeth and German pommes. And these German Pommes! Reminiscent of home cooking, delicate potatoes and onions fried to perfection. The chicken teeth seemed to be baked and were juicy inside. A little too heavy on bread for me, but most people would enjoy it in this way. If we're back in Ferdinand, I order her roasted chicken, should be pretty good.

Hiked a few miles at nearby Ferdinand State Forest, made a pit stop here on my way home. Asked for the chili but was told they weren't making it that day so I was offered noodles instead. Excellent choice. Tasty, hot, served with crackers and a cold beer, perfect after a long walk. Friendly staff too. I look forward to my next visit.
