I first went to the Poitzen train station restaurant in 1992, a regular back then! Then again in 2000 and around 2015. Leave everything as it is! Simply cozy and super tasty! Such delicious fried potatoes can only be found here! Simply great ! In 1992, with permission, I stuck a sticker of my home village on the front door. Best regards and all the best!

The station restaurant in Poitzen has a wonderfully classic ambience, excellent food, reasonable and for these times almost cheap prices and wonderfully friendly service. This railway restaurant is worth a trip. Rumpsteak and all meals with roast potatoes are particularly recommended. By the way, the roasted potatoes are roasted on an old kitchen witch, i.e. on wood fire. Oh, yes, the soft intermediate meal is also a secret tip. There is gratitude, and this has become a rarity today, Moravian arrows. I always drink it from the small 0.2 liter cups, wonderful. Only in the summer where you can eat outside is it nice. You're just sitting one meter from the old track. Unfortunately, this is no longer often used. Some excursions with a special car of the OHE (Ost-Hannnoversche-Eisenbahn) and few transports towards Bundeswehr-Kaserne Trauen, this is all. But also in winter it is nice to sit in the small, some muddy, inn and warm up at the tile fireplace and be hosted by the dedicated team. The sanitary facilities are certainly required in renovation, but finally you are here in the deepest Lüneburger heath, you can look at them. In summer there is noon table, in winter the economy is open only from 17 o'clock. There's a rest day, that's Thursday, but don't nail me.
