El Charro Mexican - Farmington

Good was fresh, hot and delicious. Our waiter was attentive but not a helicopter waiter. The staff was super helpful when my 4 year old knocked over her drink. Chips and salsa were on point! I cannot wait to come back.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! I ordered the Meat Lovers plate and it was hands down the best chicken, steak, and pastor I've ever tasted. The dishes were full of flavor and the servers were friendly and helpful.

Do not eat at El Charro in Farmington, Minnesota if you don't want your food to be overly salty. As someone who has been eating Minnesota Mexican food for over 34 years, this was the worst experience I've ever had. Every item we ordered was saturated with salt, from the chips to the ground beef in the taco. The service was also disappointing, with the waitress making us feel like we were an inconvenience. Despite being the only table at 2:30 p.m. on a Friday, we still tipped over 20 percent. We had to change servers halfway through, and the overall service was spotty. To make matters worse, there were dead flies on the window sill and live flies buzzing around our table the entire time. It was a very disappointing experience, and we will never eat at El Charro again.

Warning: when the server asks if you want a BIG margarita, they are meant to be shared. ???? The food and the margaritas are very delicious, would definitely go back
