We had left it too late to find a table on Sunday night and were on the way back to the house, so it tried on the ground. the road is in the did like a French wine cave. My...only reservation was that it was very dark, the dimmed wall lights makes it difficult to read the menu. even though more expensive than we hoped to pay when leaving the house, the dishes were all very expertly prepared and proven to be good value. in the did it was a tasty bite to find a menu that has almost disappeared in these days.
Friends who stay in the opposite have booked this for us, we would never have known it was different there, but so glad to find it. it is a beautiful cave like restaurant, really nicely illuminated and piano playing in the neighboring bar area that was. a beautiful note. the personal was beautiful and the eating was absolutely fantastic. can not wait to visit again
Had a nice evening in la cave last night. we received a very warm greeting from ellie at the arrival and we both enjoyed a cocktail before we descended to a fabulous meal in a wonderfully atmospheric candlelight restaurant. starter of ziegenkäse with pear...and nussbaum for and a fondue company made my partner for a big first cure. the most important of ratatouille and duck we are both as tasty while the desserts of chocolate fondant and tarte didin an excellent conclusion to a fantastic meal. we plan to return later in the year to south cornwall and will definitely return to la cave.
My boyfriend took me there a a surprise for my birthday. Champagne, amazing wine, fabulous food, a night to remember! He’s a chef and notoriously hard to please but the chef at La Cave cooked everything to perfection. Would thoroughly recommend a visit!
